Our market access programs are cohort-based and focused on sales, revenue generation, and expansion to other markets. We prepare and then connect promising startups with customers, funders and advisors via our Central London offices.

Taiwan: The Taiwan Startup Gateway Project

In partnership with the National Chiao Tung University, the Hsinchu Science Park and the International Accelerator and Patent Strategy programme (IAPS), we identified and coached eight Internet of Things and connected device startups for a corporate matchmaking programme in Hsinchu and Taipei. Technologies included industrial IoT, wearable health technologies, and Smart Cities applications.

Global Growth Hub has partnered with IPSD and the World Bank to support Palestinian entrepreneurs find new market opportunities. We’re conducting market assessments, designing international market access frameworks, and managing an acceleration programme to provide capacity building and tailored technical assistance. The programme is currently underway.

United Kingdom: The Northern Max Health Care Accelerator

United Kingdom: The Northern Max Health Care Accelerator

This multi-agency programme includes partners from the University of Bradford, Leeds Becket University, The Bradford Digital Health Enterprise Zone, and the National Health Service (NHS). Northern Max supported over 20 health and social care technology companies, helping them identify value propositions, market pathways, growth opportunities and identify funding sources. The startups ranged from therapeutics, diagnostics and imaging technologies, digital health products, and technologies that facilitate in-home care. The Northern Max cohort raised over £2.5 million in funding in addition to multiple proofs-of-concept and pilot agreements.

Saudi Arabia: Fintech Saudi-Flat6Labs Fintech Accelerator

From December 2020 to February 2021, this programme brought together experienced fintech entrepreneurs and investors, as well as corporate innovation experts to support the launch of new fintech companies based in Saudi Arabia.

Economic Development

GGH performs mapping exercises, impact studies, and performance reviews for governments, entrepreneurship programs and other organisations. We create specialised events to connect investors to new ecosystems and build bespoke strategies for companies expanding to the MENA region. Our development goals focus on jobs and company growth.

MENA: EIB MENA Scale-Up

MENA: EIB MENA Scale-Up

We supported the European Investment Bank in its 12-month international linkages program for MENA. Working with 12 startups from across Egypt, Tunis, Lebanon and Algeria, we provided technical support to help the businesses achieve market readiness. We connected the startups with potential investors, customers and partners both in Europe and MENA. Participating startups were able to raise over $3 million in venture funding and acquire customers across Europe.

Entrepreneurship Programme Review - We examined the broad range of entrepreneurial programmes offered by Creative England, an advocacy organisation supporting a wide-range of technologies and innovative companies in England and Wales. We created an innovation taxonomy to help guide the organisation and modelled several delivery options based on the sector, technology, or innovation being supported.

Venture Activators

From three days to three weeks, our Venture Activators help both tech and non-tech entrepreneurs identify exciting new market opportunities and launch new products and services at scale.

Iraq: Re:Coded Startup Academy

Iraq: Re:Coded Startup Academy

The Academy is a pre-acceleration program for ten startups from across Iraq. We designed and implemented the four-week programme, which covered design thinking, customer acquisition, financial, fundraising, pitching, and technical delivery. Alumni of the Academy have gone on to win international startup competitions in Europe and the Middle East.

Global: Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Asia, Africa and the Americas

Global: Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Asia, Africa and the Americas

Global Growth Hub, in partnership with GEN UK, has partnered with the international marketing firm Dentsu to support women founders around the world. Part of Dentsu’s “Hear Her Voice” initiative, the Female Foundry focuses on how women can learn new strategies and leverage technologies in order to build profitable enterprises. In 2019, GGH supported the delivery of Foundrys in Chile, Mexico, South Africa and India. In 2020, we worked with US founders with a virtual programme focused on the challenges of the COVID pandemic.
